School Board Elections
The COCISD Board of Trustees consists of seven members who are elected by position to serve for three-year terms. This is a non-paid position. Elections are held annually on the May uniform election date.
Positions #1 and #2 shall be held in 2027, 2030, 2033, and in three-year intervals thereafter.
Positions #3 and #4 shall be held in 2028, 2031, 2034, and in three-year intervals thereafter.
Positions #5, #6, and #7 shall be held in 2026, 2029, 2032, and in three-year intervals thereafter.
Candidate Eligibility Requirements
Each candidate must meet the requirements as outlined in COCISD Policy BBA(LEGAL), and must file a completed application for a place on the ballot before the posted deadline.
Application Process
Eligible candidates may submit their application for a place on the ballot in person at the Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD Administration office located at 14210, SH 150 West, in Coldspring, or by mail to COCISD, attn: Cindy Elliott, PO Box 39, Coldspring, TX 77331. Applications must be filed no later than the end date posted on the Notice of Deadline to File Applications for place on the Ballot.
