Our School Board
Coldspring-Oakhurst Consolidated ISD is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. Each member is elected to an at-large position for three years in a non-partisan election. An election is held each year for either two or three positions. Board members, like the administrative staff and teachers, are here to serve you to the best of their ability.
The Board of Trustees conducts all business in open meetings. Matters relating to personnel, student conduct, school security, pending litigation, and land acquisitions may be discussed privately. However, the final vote is taken in the open meeting. This procedure is in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas concerning school board meetings.
The COCISD Board of Trustees holds regular meetings at the Coldspring-Oakhurst High School Main Foyer (14100 TX-150, Coldspring, TX, 77331) on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Meeting times and locations are subject to change. *Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of regular and special meetings will be posted on the district website and the administration building at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting time. The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with a one-hour notice.
