About me

 I started teaching in 2014. Before that, I was a para professional and a substitute. I have worked primarily with Special Education students ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade. 

I have 4 children of my own, although most of them aren't actually children anymore. 

I believe that play is crucial to early childhood development. Children do some of their best thinking while playing and doing hands-on activities that engage the whole child. Play encourages literacy, increases neural connections, enhances vocabulary, inspires creativity/curiosity, and promotes problem solving.
