Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. This is my 19th year in education and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year. I started out in education as an Instructional Assistant and decided I wanted to be able to be an advocate and teach special needs students. I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

I recently got married to my best friend, so my last name changed from Best to Palmer. I have 2 amazing sons. Matthew is also a graduate of SHSU and is currently a police officer in Huntsville, Texas. Micah is a licensed welder and works all over the great state of Texas. 

I have taught and still teach some of the most amazing kids. One thing I can honestly say is, these kids teach me more than I could ever be able to teach them.  Again, I am looking forward to this school year, where every day is a new adventure!
