Closings & Delays Procedures and Information
In the event of weather-related or other events that may affect our students and staff, the district may decide to cancel school, release early, or delay the start of school.
If that decision is made, parents/guardians and staff will be immediately notified via a district-wide call-out. The information will also be conveyed to the media, including local tv and radio stations. It will also be immediately posted on social media and the district website. This page will be updated with the notification, as well as an instant alert on our district and campus website home pages.
The safety of our students and staff is always our first consideration when making the decision to close, release early, or delay school. Weather and road conditions are monitored, local authorities are consulted, and administrators make the decision as early as possible so parents/guardians may be notified as quickly as possible.
If you have a student(s) in the district, please be sure the campus has your current contact information. This will ensure you are included in the notifications. To update your contact information, contact the campus attendance clerk.
