The COCISD Payroll Department transitioned from a Salary Schedule system to a Pay Grade system, beginning with the 2015-16 school year. As part of the system, the Teacher Salary Placement Chart above is used to place all newly-hired teachers into a pay grade based on years of service. Please note that this chart is used only for initial placement into the Pay Grade system.
Salary increases are considered by the COCISD Board of Trustees on an annual basis. If a salary increase is approved, the increase per employee will be calculated by multiplying the Board-approved percentage amount by the midpoint salary of the position as posted on the compensation plan for the current school year. This calculated amount will then be added to each employee's salary.
