Working with the premise of a simulated toy factory floor, team members Faith Shehane, Preston Thompson, Brendan Haggard, and Robert (Matt) Johnson had to build and program a robot that could build a toy, take trash to a compactor, and recycle products. All of the competition took place within a four-foot square playing field.
The first place win was a huge accomplishment for the COHS Robotics Team, and they are now bound for the State competition in April.
"I'm really proud of these kids," said Robotics Teacher Laura Everett. "They've done a good job."
