In case of emergency—how do districts decide to delay start?

Administrators monitor news reports, weather forecasts, road conditions, and other sources to make decisions as quickly as possible.

As soon as a decision is made, a chain of communication is  initiated via phone calls, emails, social media, and the district website. News outlets are also contacted. The safety of our students and staff is always our number one priority.
