As your superintendent, I have high expectations for myself, administrators, teachers, and students. A quality education does not come easy.
In keeping with my commitment to the District, I expect campus principals and department directors to provide the leadership necessary to increase student achievement. I expect teachers and staff to ensure all students access to a quality education. I also expect students to work hard to reach their full potential and to make good decisions for their life. I ask them to have a vision and a plan that includes high school graduation and beyond.
Parents, I strongly encourage you to be involved in your children’s education. Help them finish school assignments, read together or encourage them to read on their own, and teach them to take responsibility for learning. Talk to your children about what they want to do with their lives and help them develop a plan to accomplish their goals. What you take an interest in teaches them what is important.
Education is a joint venture. We must work together to enable students in C-OCISD to thrive and achieve at their highest levels. I am proud to be leading C-OCISD as we “Sail into Excellence” and continue to do “Whatever it Takes” to ensure learning for all and equip our students for success in life.
