In order to be considered for a position, an online application must be completed with authorization for a criminal history background check. A previous arrest does not automatically prevent someone from being hired. New substitute teachers should attend the COCISD Substitute Teacher Training session, held twice a year. The next training is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the Jones Educational Complex located at 125 FM 1514 in Coldspring.

Note: According to state legislation SB9, all substitutes must be fingerprinted before they begin employment in a Texas school district. If you have already been fingerprinted by another school district, you are not required to be fingerprinted again. If you have not been fingerprinted through a school district, you will receive fingerprinting instructions after your application has been processed.
